Catlyne joined the casting team in 2012, after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in English Literature and a minor in Film and Writing. Luckily for her, the Mayan apocalypse was a no-go, so she could work on NBC’s Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.; Lee Daniel’s series Empire coming to FOX this spring; the film Sinister 2; and various other film, television, theater, and commercial projects. Catlyne is enthusiastic about the written word, and using it to find the perfect cast for screen or stage. She (well…clearly) has vocalized these strong opinions since an early age, and shows no signs of stopping, whether she’s applying her passion to delve into a new script or simply correcting Claire’s grammar and spelling mistakes.
Casting Advice
Be prepared and stay in the moment. If you’re prepared enough and are really listening to what your reader is saying, you’ll know the colors of the scene, and it won’t matter so much if the words are just right.
